The Levelling-Box or Scoop
It may move along upon its mouth, smoothing the surface till it reaches the ploughed soil, when, by a sudden pull of a rope attached to one of the handles, it regains its working position. In all these movements the horses are not stopped, but proceed from one place to another as directed, while the box is filling and emptying in constant succession.
