it is important to recognize the multicultural nature of
Ontario, and |
| WHEREAS... |
the Scottish Community has made a significant contribution to
the economic, agricultural and cultural well being of the Province and, in particular,
Scarborough, and |
| WHEREAS... |
April 6th is a day of historical significance to
the Scottish community since it marks the anniversary of the declaration of Scottish
independence in 1320, |
I hereby proclaim April 6, 1994 as "Tartan Day" in the City of Scarborough.
