Susan is a Canadian artist who was raised in Toronto and spent considerable time in the Cobourg-Grafton area as well as Georgian Bay-Pointe au Baril. Many of her works are inspired by these locations. Winter is a favourite season and is often the subject of her landscapes and figuratives. Her skaters, dancers, bathers and angels are all studies of movement and light -- capturing the exuberance and joy of life. Her portraits capture the spirit of the individual and their unique character.

Self taught by independent study of the masters (Degas, Hans Holbien, Morrice, Monet and David Milne), Susan is multi-talented in that she presents various genres of the form, diverse in colour, texture and composition. Lighting and acute sensitivity capture the mood of her work -- impressionism akin to the masters. Her printmaking is often colourful, playful and witty -- her line drawings, classical to lyrical.

Susan is soon to be featured in "A Dictionary of Canadian Artists", Volume 8, edited by Colin S. MacDonald. Her works are included in many important collections across North America and Europe.
